*INSUFFICIENT PARENTING!*
It is not enough to download some. plates of indomie, and some laps of fried chicken into the stomach of your children.
It is insufficient to send your children to *LOYOLA JESUIT, CKC, King’s College, Queen’s College,* and the likes where you pay millions of Naira.
It is not enough to buy _iPad_, and share to your children, even to subscribe to _DSTV,_ and leave a remote in their hands is not enough.
All these are good, but they are *INSUFFICIENT.*
*Sufficient Parenting* is to take care of not just the body, but *the SPIRIT of the child.* It means to cater for the child IN, and OUT!
It is the wisdom of giving attention to the BODY, and SPIRIT of the child. You know why?
We can’t afford to raise beautiful daughters who cannot say NO to immoral advances of the _dogs of Babylon_ sniffing their nose at every lady on the street.
We cannot afford to raise brilliant sons who would subscribe to atheism and turn around to ask us _”Does God really exist?”_
We can’t afford to raise cute children that will rise from children’s choir to join the world in their quest for vain popularity through ungodly music.
I read that _Flavor_ began to play drums in the church, now his songs are pollution to the sanity of the church.
*Complete Parenting* is giving attention to the physical, and *SPIRITUAL welfare* of our children.
*GOD’S WORD* must have a grip of their hearts before the _intellectual poison of social media_ begins to knock at the door of their minds.
We must place a *BIBLE* on their hands before the enemy places _Cigarate and Marijuana_ between their hands.
We must teach them memory verses, and fill their memories with *hymns and godly songs* before the _worldly music, and lyrics_ dominates their memories.
We must expose them to *Obadiah* before _Chelsea_ dominates their mind.
We must draw their attention to the *Gospel of Matthew* before the book of _MAN ‘U,_ dominates their thoughts.
We must teach them *1 Timothy 6:6*, that _Godliness with contentment is GREAT gain,_ before the breeze of _Bet9ja, and yahooism_ blows them off tangent!
Dear Parents, teach them Christ first, show them the *Man of Calvary* (if you know HIM).
Teach them *Assurance of salvation* before _Davido’s_ assurance system catches their attention.
*R- E- M -E- M -B- E- R*
Even Jesus, _”…increased in WISDOM, and stature…_ (Luke 2:52a).
As for John… _”And the child grew, and waxed strong in the SPIRIT…”_ (Luke 1:80a).
Mary, and Joseph gave Jesus attention, spiritually and physically.
Zechariah, and Elizabeth gave John 50/50 attention. We saw the result of their *_Sufficient Parenting._*
Be a parent, be a *SUFFICIENT PARENT!*
Don’t say it doesn’t concern me, I’m still single.
